Acupuncture can be very beneficial for neurological conditions. In my practice I see patients for a wide range of neurological issues such as neuropathies, neuralgias, and limb weakness of different origins, including auto immune diseases (MS, Lupus, RA), AIDS/HIV, diabetes, and stroke. I have successfully treated migraines and stress headaches, post concussion syndrome, post stroke weakness, chronic pain, trigeminal neuralgia and Bell’s palsy.

In Chinese medicine, qi, known as: life’s energy circles through the body’s meridians and propels the blood through the blood vessels. Therefore, any pain, numbness, tingling, or paralyses are seen as a disturbance in qi flow. In other words if qi is not flowing freely there will be pain and so forth. Blood and oxygen get congested and affect the health of the muscles, bones, flesh and nerves. The aim is to restore the free flow of qi which will assure adequate supply of blood and oxygen as well as fluids and lymph drainage and allow for reduction of swellings, inflammation and pain and support nerve regeneration.
