We are very fortunate that with the advancement of medicine, people with HIV who stay on their treatment will live longer and with a better quality of life. However, those meds still have side effects, and there are numerous symptoms associated with leaving with a chronic disease.

Acupuncture can help!

Acupuncture can alleviate many of the HIV medication’s long term side effects. It is especially beneficial for digestive problems such as diarrhea, constipation, heart burn and GERD and for neurological issues such as chronic pain and particularly all types of neuropathies and neuralgias. Acupuncture helps different sleep disorders such as insomnia, night sweats, and dream disturbed sleep. It  can help in reducing water retention and be part of a weight management plan. It can also ease low levels of anxiety and depression.

I gained extensive knowledge working with HIV patients in my practice and through my volunteer work.
